Caroline was immensely helpful when offering advice and support to new lecturers in the School of Modern Languages. I only knew her for a short period but she was always so generous and warm in her manner and communications, and it was very clear that she was an inspiring teacher and a wonderful academic and colleague. My heart goes out to all of her family, friends, HiPLA colleagues and the SML community. Thinking of you all x Albertine
