I had the pleasure (and it really was a pleasure) of working with Caroline on the SLAS committee over a number of years, first as ordinary committee members, then with Caroline as elected Vice-President and President, posts in which I followed her. Over all that time, Caroline was consistently kind, considerate and thoughtful - a real people person. I'll always remember her as deeply caring, highly intelligent and simply good company. Any conversation with Caroline left you feeling the world was a better place, and that your place in it was better than you thought. I'll miss her.
