Caroline was a founding board member of the Centre for Environmental Humanities, and I got to know her through our meetings, events and trips. I admired her enormously, not only for her experience and wisdom, but for her kindness, gentleness, and wicked sense of humour. Seeing Caroline brightened any day at work. I hope she knew how much we all appreciated her. I'll miss her terribly and will think of her often. Rest in peace, Caroline.
